St Gabriel’s RC Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff, governors and volunteers are expected to share this commitment. For more information please see our safeguarding policy which can be found under Key Information > Policies > Safeguarding Policy.
You can also be more eco-friendly at home.
Here are some ways you can make your home more environmental friendly.
If you complete any of these activities, please share with your class teacher on seesaw so it can be shared and celebrated with the school!
Biodiversity
This includes caring for all plants, insects and animals.
This could include:
Global Citizenship
Global citizenship is centred around working with others on local and global issues.
This might include fundraising money for charities, buying fairtrade products or educating yourself on global issues.
Littering causes damage to our environment, especially for animal life.
Make sure you are putting your rubbish in the bin and not on the floor!
The powerpoint below shares the issues of littering and what you can do to help the environment.
We need to work towards finding more environmental-friendly ways to travel.
Try to walk or cycle short distance journeys rather than driving.
Refuse, reduce, reuse, repair, recycle
This focuses on enhancing the environment in which we work and play.
You could plant something at home to enhance your home environment.
We need to protect an important natural resource: water.
This could include turning the tap off when brushing your teeth or after washing your hands.
Unfortunately, not everyone has access to clean water. To learn more about it, please click the link below.
