ST. GABRIEL'S RC PRIMARY SCHOOL
On behalf of the Governors, I am delighted to welcome your child to our Reception Class at St. Gabriel’s R.C. Primary School starting September 2021.
We believe that your child is a very special, unique person and we will do everything we can to give them every opportunity to grow and develop and shine throughout their time here. We will personalise our curriculum to meet the needs of your child and will nurture their natural talents so that they succeed in every way.
The School Mission Statement says, “In God’s love: we welcome, we learn, we grow together.” What matters is that your child receives every opportunity to be the very best that God intended them to be and our job will be to nurture, to guide, to enthuse, to reassure and to support them on that journey.
All we ask of you is that you work hand in hand with us on that journey so that your child knows that they are surrounded by a strong, secure partnership of support and encouragement.
Although we want you and your child to be familiar with St Gabriel’s, we face difficulties due to social distancing and school regulations that we must follow. A virtual tour for September 2021 will be uploaded to the school website so you can gain a sense of the learning environment the children will be working in from September.
I look forward to welcoming you to the St Gabriel’s family.
Mrs. Laura Bolton

AM OR PM
(All parents attend 11:30am – 12 pm)
School Start Date
School starts in September with children joining the class in staggered intake groups depending on the term of birth. This is to allow the maximum children to staff ratio and to settle children into class in small numbers allowing us to establish good routines. Your child will attend for full days, including lunch from this date. Please drop your child off at the classroom door at the school start time of 8:45 am and collect them at the end of the school day which is 2:50 pm.
Parents and children are invited to attend a special Welcome Liturgy prepared by our older children. At this service your child will be formally welcomed into our school community. This will take place on St Gabriel’s Day and will be followed by refreshments to provide opportunity to meet other parents and school staff.
