Friday 26th February

Morning Activity

Give yourself 10 minutes to do as much as possible of the 180 Times Tables sheet below. (If you can't print it off, then jot down the answers as quickly as possible in your home-learning workbooks.)

Weekly Spellings

Look again at the weekly spellings list. When you are ready, ask an adult to test you.

This week, your work will be focused around the Oak Academy unit for Year 4 on writing non-chronological reports. This should fit in well with our wider topic on animals and ecosystems.

There is one lesson per day linked to this English theme.

Reading Journal Activity

From Tuesday to Friday, your work is based around a book on MyON called ‘Ecosystems’. It is written in a graphic novel style (like a comic) but is quite a tricky text. You can play the audio version to help you.

To access this book, log on to MyON as normal and then simply lick on ‘projects’. You will find the book waiting for you.

You will need to open this book daily in order to complete your reading journal activities on the power point. There is one activity for each day from Tuesday to Thursday.

This week’s Maths continues our topic of fractions. We will be moving on to looking at adding and subtracting fractions. Live lessons on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be based on this.

The power point will take you through each step. You can then complete the worksheet.

If you need more of a challenge, check out the problem solving activities that I have included in the list of resources for Friday 26th February.

I have also included a daily true or false reasoning activity.

Remember to keep up with your reading for at least 30 minutes a day. Well done to all of those pupils who are completing quizzes regularly and working towards their Spring target.

We now have nine children who have exceeded their Spring target –well done!

Learn about the weather in French!

This lesson from Oak Academy is the final one in the series about developing your athletic skills.
