Friday 5th Feb

Morning Activity

Give yourself 10 minutes to do as much as possible of the 180 Times Tables sheet below. (If you can't print it off, then jot down the answers as quickly as possible in your home-learning workbooks.)

Weekly Spellings

Look again at the weekly spellings list. When you are ready, ask an adult to test you.

This week we will begin looking at the poetry of Benjamin Zephaniah using a unit of work from Oak Academy.

Children’s Mental Health Week – Friday

To finish our week’s focus on Children’s Mental Health, watch the ‘Express

Yourself’  presentation and then try to write your own acrostic poem. There

is also a word search that you could complete just for fun.

This week’s Maths is all about fractions. We will be building on the work that you did in Year 3. Live lessons on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday will be based on Maths.

I have also included a quick starter and a true or false reasoning activity.

The power point will take you through each step. If you need more of a challenge, check out the problem solving activities that I have included in the list of resources below.

Remember to keep up with your reading for at least 30 minutes a day. Well done to all of those pupils who are completing quizzes regularly and working towards their Spring target. It is good to see that almost every pupil is now building up points towards their target every week.

Can you match the animals to their names in French? There are three levels of challenge – choose the one that is best for you.

This lesson from Oak Academy introduces the skills needed in Athletics.

Have a lovely weekend, everyone and thanks to all who have participated so well in the live lessons.
