Friday 5th March

Morning Activity

Give yourself 10 minutes to do as much as possible of the 180 Times Tables sheet below. (If you can't print it off, then jot down the answers as quickly as possible in your home-learning workbooks.)

Weekly Spellings

Look again at the weekly spellings list. When you are ready, ask an adult to test you.

This week, your work will continue to be focused around the Oak Academy unit for Year 4 on writing non-chronological reports. This should fit in well with our wider topic on animals and ecosystems.

There is one lesson per day linked to this English theme.

Reading Journal Activity

On Thursday and Friday your Reading Journal time is to be used to complete activities related to World Book Day.

Today, please choose from one of the mindfulness colouring sheets below.

(If you cannot print one of these out, then watch the Jeremy Strong video instead. The link is below.)

This week’s Maths continues our topic of fractions.

We will look again at subtracting fractions before finding out how to calculate fractions of amounts.

Live lessons on Monday, Thursday and Friday will be based on this.

On Monday, Thursday and Friday, we will use our normal power points and worksheets.

The power point will take you through each step. You can then complete the worksheet.

If you need more of a challenge, check out the problem solving activities that I have included in the list of resources for Friday 5th March.

I have also included a daily true or false reasoning activity.

Remember to keep up with your reading for at least 30 minutes a day. Well done to all of those pupils who are completing quizzes regularly and working towards their Spring target.

We now have eleven children who have exceeded their Spring target –well done!

Use the following link to practise saying French phrases linked to the weather.

Try this activity from Oak Academy.

Hopefully, you will have fun completing all of the challenges.

Remember that you MUST have an adult close whilst you do this activity to ensure that you are safe.

(If you really can't manage to do this, then don't worry - just complete a Joe Wicks work out instead.)
