  3. Spend 15 minutes on TT Rockstars
  4. Practise this week’s spellings

Grammar Activity

There are two short grammar activities to complete – one for Wednesday and one for Thursday. These can be printed out, answered in books or simply discussed.

Today I would like you to use yesterday’s planning to write your complete story. You should be clear about the order of events and how it will end from the planning that you did.

Try to include the following Year 4 writing objectives:

~ Paragraph your work. Whenever the place or time changes in your story, make sure that you have started a new paragraph.

~ Use fronted adverbials of time, place and manner (when, where and how). Make sure that a comma is used after the fronted adverbial.

~ Use expanded noun phrases that include adjectives and prepositions.

~ Punctuate direct speech between characters in your story.

I have included word mats and reminders of how to do these things in case you want further examples or advice.

Please post your finished work on Seesaw. Thank you.

Reading Journal Activity

Today’s work is language based. If you do not have a dictionary at home, then use the Internet to look up the word. Remember that your work can be recorded in your home-learning book if you cannot print out this slide.

Today's work is centred around multiplying 3-digit numbers by –digit numbers and checking to see if the answer is sensible. The power point will take you through each step. If you need more of a challenge, check out the problem solving activities that I have included in the list of resources below.

I have also included a quick starter and a true or false reasoning activity.

Remember to keep up with your reading for at least 30 minutes a day. Well done to all of those pupils who are completing quizzes regularly and working towards their Spring target.

I cannot find quiz results for some pupils. Remember that your log in details for MyOn are the same as for Accelerated Reader. Please contact me via Seesaw if you need more help.

All of the information you need is included below. Firstly, read about the first followers of Jesus and the advice he gave them. Next, listen to the hymn and finally, select one of the activities to try. Please remember to share your work on Seesaw if possible
