Before and After School Organiser

Required for October 2020 or sooner

Salary: Grade 1 (pt1-3)

Contract: Term Time Only contract

Hours: 17½ hours per week


The Governing Board would like to appoint an enthusiastic Before and After School Club Organiser to assist in the school’s before and after school clubs, providing a secure environment for all children attending and assisting with organising and supervising a range of creative and stimulating activities for individual and groups of children.


The working hours for this position are 8.00am to 9.00am and 2.45pm to 5.15pm Monday to Friday.


Duties include:-

  • To undertake the supervision, security, welfare and good conduct of children within the Breakfast and After School Club, enforcing the expected standards of school discipline and having regard to special or educational needs.
  • To provide and run activities for the children during indoor and outdoor play.
  • To oversee after school arrangements, including the hygiene of pupils and the dining area.  This will include hand washing, cleaning spillages, insisting on and modelling good table manners.
  • Ensure all equipment is set up and cleared away at the end of the session.
  • Liaise closely with the Breakfast/After School Leader and class teachers on the welfare and discipline of pupils.
  • Respect the confidentiality of sensitive information from pupils and staff
  • Assist in preparing and serving a food menu within the club as required.
