Your child will be given a reading book to read at home, this book should be read more than once to help children develop fluency and then discuss it together. You should also include other reading materials from home/library. When you read with your child please record this in their reading record so staff know that their books are ready to be changed and children will be rewarded for home reading.
At the beginning of each half term there will be a project based homework given which is to be completed during the term ready to be handed in on the last week.
As the children settle further into their routines, spelling and maths skills homework will also be given out weekly. These are expected to be learnt by wednesday of the following week ready for a spelling quiz will be held in class.
