Year 6

Welcome to Year 6.

We hope that the information on this page will be useful to you in this important year.

 

As well as the usual newsletters, homework sheets and word lists, you will also find sections on the forthcoming SATs and our Residential Trip to Robinwood.

 

Also included is a copy of the power point presentation delivered to parents in October of this year. This gives an overview of SATs and the Year 6 curriculum.

 

As the year progresses, we will add updates so that you can share in some of our learning.

 

Please note PE days for Year 6 in Spring 2 are Tuesdays and Fridays.

Word List for Year 6

SATs

  • Maths Revision BBC Bitesize website is a useful site for both Maths and English. It consists of information and activities to help children consolidate learning.
  • Maths Revision An assortment of activities Maths activities put together by Woodlands Junior School.
  • Grammar Revision Skillswise aims to help adults improve their reading, writing and maths skills. It is targeted at Level 1 of the adult Basic Skills Literacy & Numeracy Curriculums for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, however the grammar section is also useful for revision purposes.
  • Spelling Revision For spelling practice, Ambleside Primary offer an automated Look, Cover, Write, Check word bank. Really useful for brushing up on Key Stage 2 spellings.
