Important ongoing information
PE - PE will be Tuesday and Thursdays. Please send your child in full PE kit on a Tuesday and Thursday. Children can come to school in trainers, preferably velcro fasteners, and bring black PE pumps. This terms the children will be focusing on the their coordination skills.
Homework
Reading Books.
Your child will bring home a reading book, which will be change every Friday. They will also bring a story book home to share with you. Please read this with your child every evening and sign their reading record book. On a Friday, children who have read at least 3 times during the week will achieve a reading star and their name displayed on the 'Reading Star' board. Reading wallets must be brought to school everyday.
Homework will be handed out on a Friday. This will include, phonics, spellings and maths. Please spend a little time each evening to complete the homework.
Please do not return the homework to school. We would greatly appreciate a photograph to be sent via the SEESAW app to show your child's work.

Reading
Read your phonics book. Answer the reading questions at the back of your book. Read a book of your own choice.
English
If you have snow go and write your name in the snow and any words you can spell.
Look around your room.
Choose an object then add 2 adjectives to describe that object to make it more interesting. Write the sentence down using capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.
Write a story about an adventure you could have as a pirate in the snow! Who is with you? What might happen? What problems might you come across? Did you find your treasure?
Use Capital letters, finger spaces and full stops, or exclamation marks or question marks.
Geography
Draw a map of the way you would get to school. Include any land marks you might see on your way or any crossings you would go over. Include street or road names if you know them.
