Key Information
All children need a pair of wellies that stay in school, these are essential for the children to be able to access provision on the grass.
Reception have access to outdoors which includes lots of resources to support children's physical development. They will also participate in PE lessons which will start after October half term - A separate update will be sent out regarding their PE day so that you can send your child into school wearing their full PE kit.
All children have been given a set of Ruth Miskin sound cards - these are the same as what we use in school during our phonics lessons with the children. These are your cards to keep and use as flash cards, make words and play games with at home. Your child's reading book day will change along with the phonics timetable and their reading for pleasure book (Story book to be shared with an adult) will be changed on Fridays. Please ensure that the full plastic reading wallet is brought into school daily in order to accommodate this.
After reading, please make sure that the reading record has been signed to indicate that your child has read the book and any additional reading materials.
