Reading books

Under the supervision of staff, the children in Year 5 are responsible for changing their own books. They are given time to do this each day, as it is important that they are reading frequently at home.

Homework

Project homework is now being sent out alongside the regular weekly homework.

Week 1- Maths Task (Set on a Friday and due in on a Wednesday)

Week 2- English Task (Set on a Friday and due in on a Wednesday)

Spellings

The children are given their spellings on a Monday, to be tested on a Friday. Each Monday the children are also tested on their new spellings, which informs them of their focus words each week.

P.E Kits

The children have P.E on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please can you ensure that your child has the school's P.E kit in school throughout the week. It is also important that as part of their P.E kit, they have outdoor trainers and a jumper/fleece.
